Welcome this is an introduction on how to efficiently managing the points downloaded from this site. Thank you for visiting and be sure to check back often for updates, we are always adding new points and updating older ones.

1. Create a folder on your PC and label it "My POI". It is recommended that you place the folder in a location like "My Documents".

2. To keep your points better organized create a folder for each category of POI you wish to download.

3. Visit www.gpsculture.com to download your POI's.

4. When saving the POI data file (CSV) from GPS culture save it in the appropriate category folder. Once the file is downloaded choose a icon to represent the POI's. This can be done by right clicking on the provided icon and saving it to your PC. You can also visit our main icon page for more choices.

Name the icon the same as the POI data file. For example; POI file: SpeedTraps.csv, Icon File:SpeedTraps.bmp

5. The points are ready to be uploaded into your Garmin GPS receiver using POILoader or you can use the FREE program GPSBabel to translate the CSV file to any other GPS format such as Tom Tom .OV2. Soon GPS Culture will support the downloading of points in most common formats. Stay tuned for updates. Visit us in our forum if you have any suggestions or questions.
