The Website The GPS Culture Website idea designed to offer a one stop destination for GPS assistance and Points of Interest. It relies on the participation of other GPS users to help people with less experience through our blog and Forum. Becoming a member is free and easy. We have searched the web for POI data that can be used to supplement your GPS. Our main source of data is government agencies which have been collecting data for years. We have been able to collect data that will be very useful for your next weekend adventure may it be by foot, boat, or vehicle. The government data comes in a source not compatible with your GPS. We put the data into a spatial database that can access the points and provide them to you in a format that can be used with your GPS directly or by using free software to translate the file. Site GoalThe Goal of the GPS Culture site is to help GPS users get the most out of their GPS device by providing a variety of tools. We would like to make the the POI database as large as possible to satisfy most or all user needs in North America.
The Creator
Jesse has also taught hundreds of people how to use GPS in formal and informal class settings. It is his goal to provide all his teachings through this site free of charge to all GPS users. He also provides technical services to many GPS companies across Canada.
Spread the WordThis site requires people new and experienced with GPS to ask and answer questions in our forums. So invite a friend or two and ask a few questions. We will do our best to answer them in a timely manner. If you know an answer to a question feel free to share your knowledge. Your participation is greatly appreciated. We hope to talk to you and your friends soon.

About Us

This site was created by Jesse Sampson. Jesse is trained in Electronic Engineering and has been working with GPS for over 8 years. He saw a need for better supporting GPS consumers before and after a sale while working with Canada's top reseller of Consumer GPS, GPS Central. He left GPS Central in 2007 in order to properly develop the site.
Jesse enjoys the great outdoors participating in many back country adventures and water sports. One of his long term goals is to sail around the world. This is no small goal and will require the success of this site and other ventures.
