Laptop Mag just posted nearly 5 minutes of finger-flicking, auto-rotating, rubber banding video of Garmin"s hotly anticipated Nuvifone. There"s even a brief glimpse of the touch keyboard in all its landscape, predictive text glory. Sure Garmin only showed the working aspects of the not-ready-for-prime-time prototype. The Free Geography Tools blog bring us news about this new tool. From their summary : "I covered Microsoft’s old photo geotagging tool WMMX Location Stamper a while ago in this post. Location Stamper uses Microsoft’s MapPoint maps in the display, which are already out-of-date, and I said it would be nice if they could add Virtual Earth to the app but wasn’t holding my breath. Our last poll about geospatial games gave clear results. Despite little participation (32 votes), 62% indicated they"re in geospatial for work, not entertainment. 12% look at geogames out of curiosity, 6% play from time to time and 15% do play or are even addicted!
